\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\tGP Trainer\/Supervisor\/Foundation supervisor<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t
<\/p>\n

A GP Trainer is someone who actively supports and trains GP Trainees in practice. GPs must attend a compulsory course before they can become a GP Trainer, Out of Hours Clinical Supervisor or foundation supervisor.<\/p>\n

A clinical tutor is accountable to, and acts on behalf of, the postgraduate dean and the chief executive in an NHS trust to oversee the provision of education for doctors in training and to ensure that this is carried out to a satisfactory standard.<\/p>\n
