\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\tUniversities (Medical Educators)<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t
<\/p>\n

Most university-based medical educators have transferred from a clinical career or continue to balance a clinical career with a research and teaching career as clinical academics. There are currently more opportunities for clinical academics because of the drive to involve more clinicians in undergraduate medical training.<\/p>\n

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) School for Primary Care Research is a partnership between nine leading academic centres for primary care research in England. Its main aims are to increase the evidence base for primary care practice through high quality research and strategic leadership, and to build capacity in primary care with a well- established training programme.<\/p>\n

A GP with expertise in managing patients with multiple (extensive) morbidities. Extensive Care was originally an American concept providing care for elderly patients outside of a hospital setting with the medical input from Geriatricians.<\/p>\n
