As such it is the least densely populated locality and covers a mix of seaside towns and rural areas with some remote places with limited public transport.<\/p>\n<p>South Locality (IW) PCN comprises three practices:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/thebaymedicalpractice.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Bay Medical Practice<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/ventnormedicalpractice.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ventnor Medical Practice<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/southwightmedicalpractice.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South Wight Medical Practice<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Clinical Director for the South Locality (IW) is Dr Sam Judd.<\/p>\n<p>A number of practices in this locality have already merged including one merger that created the largest practice on the Island; The Bay Medical Practice. This has a surgery in Sandown located next to one of the Island\u2019s main leisure centres and another surgery in Shanklin. Also, in this locality is one of the smallest practices on the Island; South Wight Medical Practice, which is set over three sites in Niton, Brighstone and Godshill.<\/p>\n<p>The network provides phlebotomy services removing the need for patients to visit the hospital in Newport.
