The area offers a mix of urban and rural areas including the major gateway towns of Ryde and East Cowes.<\/p>\n<p>The North East Locality PCN comprises six practices:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.towerhousesurgeryryde.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tower House Surgery, Ryde<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theesplanadesurgery.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Esplanade Surgery, Ryde<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.argyllhousesurgery.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Argyll House Surgery, Ryde<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastcoweshealthcentre.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">East Cowes Medical Centre<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/sthelensmedicalcentre.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">St Helen&#8217;s Surgery, St Helen\u2019s<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/medinahealthcaresurgery.webgp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Medina Healthcare, Wootton Bridge<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Clinical Director for the North East Primary Care Network is Dr Daniel O&#8217;Neill.<\/p>\n<p>The network is well resourced both in terms of GPs and a wide range of different practitioners operating within and across the practices including advanced nurse practitioners and shared roles like paramedics, providing a patient visiting service, and clinical pharmacists.<\/p>\n<p>Together the practices within the network have embraced innovation, working on a number of initiatives to improve patient care including setting up the first primary care mental health practitioner model on the Island.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The North East is the largest Primary Care Network by population size with 53,342 residents, and the most densely populated locality.
