{"id":421,"date":"2025-05-08T11:00:58","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T10:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surgeryweb-pcn.com\/onewighthealth\/?page_id=421"},"modified":"2025-05-08T13:03:25","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T12:03:25","slug":"central-west-primary-care-network","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/surgeryweb-pcn.com\/onewighthealth\/our-practice-networks\/our-primary-care-networks\/central-west-primary-care-network\/","title":{"rendered":"Central &#038; West Primary Care Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Central and West Wight Health Alliance Primary Care Network covers the largest geographical area on the Island measuring 16,508 hectares; almost half of the total area and a population of 49,832; almost two-fifths of the total Island population.<\/p>\n<p>The area includes the seaside towns of Freshwater, Yarmouth, and Cowes as well as the more densely populated, main town of Newport, the Island\u2019s administrative centre.<\/p>\n<p>The Central and West Wight Health Alliance Primary Care Network comprises the following three practices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/newporthealthcentre.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Newport Health Centre<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cowesmedicalcentre.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cowes Medical Centre<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brooksidehealthcentre.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brookside Health Centre (run by Wight Primary Partnerships Ltd) Freshwater<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Clinical Director for the network is Dr Dom Breen-Turner<\/p>\n<p>The locality has already seen several practices merge to provide services across dual locations and it has ambitions in the future to develop a health and wellbeing centre in the central town of Newport.
